I am surrounded...

... by individuals, by friends, by people who are driven, by those who care, by those who are more than willing to lend a helping hand, whatever shape it may be. The Last 12 hours - FORTY FOUR page views of this blog, so, of course, I am dedicating this entry to you, friend. I am 100% sure I know you in person. I have eliminated individuals who are just passing through, leaving only those who truly matter, who contribute to my well-being and allow me to do the same. Yes, I have to be an active listener and passionately care about those who are around me. In return, you will spill your life unto my lap, and allow me to do the same. I love it. The relationship bond strengthens. This is important. Very much so. More than the type of job I currently hold, I promise.

I have stopped separating 'best friends' from 'good friends' from 'buddies' because, in reality, every single relationship is unique. I used to judge those who say they have five best friends... I thought - isn't the point of the best friend is to be ... THE best? Well no, actually. The two people in a bond have a special connection through whatever path - travel together, hobby, met through a friend, random encounter, you name it. All have a special place in our lives. Unlike socks, it's silly to color coordinate relationships.
I have yet so much to learn, but I think I am getting at least a slight grip at this whole 'what's important in life' thing.
