On the train

I have been slowly pre-adjusting to Portland life - taking public transportation, engaging in conversations with random pedestrians, biking. This is the second time I am writing this post. First time I used app on the phone, and somehow it did not save my two paragraphs of poetic metaphors. Yesterday evening was a nice late outing with my lady's coworkers. All life saviors in direct sense, but one also indirectly 'saved' our lives in the morning by providing helping to cure our hangovers.

On a slightly more sad note - my bicycle was stolen from train station. I think I mentally was prepared for this to happen so when it did, I was not particularly distressed. While it was a very nice model, here are a couple of truths that need to be addressed:
1) I did not have a lock and used a belt to tie it against a railing.
2) I did not pay for the bike, it was given to me.
3) While I am a tad (just a tad) upset about it, I am quite okay with it.

So Michelle and I will just have to acquire wheels once in OR. I'm fine with that. There is still so much to pack, and I'm just goofing off on the computer.
